Sankofa Seed

Sankofa Seed is a sculptural tribute to the first 3 African American resident students in front of Jefferson Hall the college of William and Mary. The Sankofa Bird on top represents the principle of Sankofa (seeking from our past to take to our future) was designed and built by Steve Prince who brought Ayo into the project to design the 4 sides of the base which speaks to the first black students at the university.
